Thesis subject: Data Fusion and State Estimation for Autonomous vineyard sprayer.
Thesis Abstract
In this project we are developing an autonomous sprayer that will spray a vineyard. The sprayer will be able to navigate along the row as well as turning at the end of the row. Navigation is being done using fusion of several sensors including, vision, simple inexpensive DGPS, and magnetometers. We developed a unique electric vehicle capable of traveling off-road and traversing rough terrain. Using artificial potential functions and an inexpensive specially built DGPS system we are able to accurately navigate the vehicle along a predefined path.
